Mixed Use Redevelopment Comprising 80 Flats and Community Use
This site comprises Glory House, Tabernacle Avenue, Plaistow. Glory House is a well-established Baptist church on the corner of Barking Road and Tabernacle Avenue. The Church comprises three adjacent buildings. These buildings are no longer suitable for the needs of Glory House due in the main to the lack of on-street parking in the area coupled with the introduction of CPZ’s and other parking restrictions in the surrounding roads.
The proposal looks to demolish all the buildings on the Site and erect two buildings of three to six storeys. These buildings will provide 80 flats and a replacement community use comprising a drop-in centre.
We have engaged in considerable pre-application discussions with the London Borough of Newham and other stakeholders over the last two years. The proposed development has evolved as a result of meaningful professional input from both the Council’s planning officer and design officer coupled with the considerable amount of thought and research by both the Applicant and their appointed professional team.
