Coulsdon Medical Centre, Croydon
Creation of new medical centre on town centre car park.
NTA Planning was appointed in December 2024 to assist with the delivery of a new medical centre for NHS England and Croydon Health Services.
With no formal pre-application engagement, the brief was that planning permission had to be granted by the end of March 2025 to quality for funding. If approved and built, this medical centre would provide an additional 35,000 appointments per year.
NTA led the pre-planning and planning stages, ensuring that a detailed application was submitted in early January. The application was met with support from the public, consultees, and even the local MP.
Planning permission was granted under delegated powers on 11th March, well in advance of all deadlines and funding has been successfully secured. Works are set to start later in 2025.
