Construction of a two storey extension to hospital providing a new entrance, reception, office space and landscaping improvements.
NTA Planning was instructed to be the lead consultant to secure planning permission for a two-storey extension to Basildon Hospital, creating a spectacular new entrance.
This development creates a bright, welcoming and sustainable addition to the hospital site, and will vastly improve both the appearance and functionality of the hospital. A new entrance is provided at ground floor with ancillary public hospital facilities. In the upper level, improved office floorspace has been created for staff.
Outside of the new extension, new landscaping and ecological improvement schemes has been implemented, in addition to an uplift in the number of trees on site. Finally, new parking and drop off arrangements are proposed to separate the public from emergency vehicles, making the scheme safer for all.
Planning permission was granted in July 2021. Works commenced in late 2021 and completed in September 2022.
