Jamie graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Geography, before completing a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the same university. He became a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in December 2020.
Jamie began his planning career in 2018 and has since gained extensive experience working for planning consultancies in Suffolk and London. Prior to joining NTA, Jamie worked at Michael Sparks Associates, where he specialised in major commercial and employment developments, including industrial, logistics and distribution schemes across the UK. His experience includes managing complex planning applications, undertaking site appraisals, coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams and advising on developments within the Green Belt and other sensitive locations.
Jamie joined NTA Planning in 2026, bringing particular expertise in large-scale employment developments, alongside experience of residential, retail and mixed-use schemes. He has worked on major projects involving up to 92,000 sqm of employment floorspace, including developments requiring Environmental Impact Assessments, and has considerable experience of working closely with clients, local planning authorities and other stakeholders to secure successful planning outcomes.
