Paxton Primary School, Lambeth
Contemporary school expansion in a challenging site in South London.
Paxton Primary School was expanded from one form of entry to three form of entry through this development in 2016. Together with Paul Murphy Architects and Extraspace Solutions, NT+A managed this project through the planning process.
Innovative modular design measures were incorporated into this project delivering this major development in a matter of months, all the while keeping the existing school open.
Planning permission was granted at committee in October 2015. The structural frame was erected in less than 4 weeks, greatly reducing the overall school build time to less than 6 months. Construction was completed within a year of planning permission being granted.
