Demolition of worn-out commercial building to create distinctive mixed use development consisting of retail and several residential dwellings
On behalf of a private client, NT+A were appointed to deliver a new development at this vacant ex-bank buildings. Cognisant of its sensitive setting (within a conservation area, near several listed buildings and within a village centre), NT+A worked tirelessly with Norton Ellis Architects to develop a scheme which both maximised development potential while being appropriate to its setting.
Two rounds of pre-application advice, along with engagement with the local Parish Council has helped shape this scheme into something which everyone would welcome.
After almost two years of negotiations, this application was approved at planning committee in June 2019.
