Working in tandem with Shaun Knight Architecture, NT+A secured planning permission for the residential conversion and extension of a signficant heritage asset to provide 18 self-contained flats
In the conversion of the former fire station, it was essential that the extension would respect the host building and that the integrity of the site was not diminished. A key challenge to this development proposal was coordinating and cooperating with a wide range of specialists and stakeholders. Extensive talks at pre-application stage and engagement with local residents were key to successfully obtaining approval.
